Kinobot

At BAÜP, we provide our clients with agile and efficient automated solutions that help optimize their production processes.

However, this speed generates an incomplete image of the sector, since it reduces it to mechanical and repetitive processes that respond to the immediate needs of the chain and leave no room for creative freedom. But why should they be at odds?

Starting from this premise, we have been encouraged to take our projects one step further and enter the world of kinetic art, an artistic movement in which the works depend on movement for their effect.

How does kinetic art fit into the realm of automation and robotics?

To demonstrate that there is room for creativity in the sector, we have carried out an avant-garde experimental project, joining forces with the audiovisual agency Avestudio and integrating KUKA brand robots with state-of-the-art film cameras. We have called it Kinobot.

With Kinobot, we can execute shots that would be impossible to carry out by the human body or other currently existing audiovisual machinery.

This innovative approach, which has already been part of the Galicia Design Week, and has been exhibited at the Ciudad de las TIC of A Coruña, merges robotic precision with cinematographic creativity, exploring new possibilities in both automation and production. audiovisual and making it clear that there is still a lot of ground to explore.
