Overview

Human–robot performance developed for the "Robotics and Computational thinking" event at CaixaForum for the Generalitat Valenciana, combining industrial robotics, choreography and synchronized multimedia systems.

Objective

Design a performance framework capable of enabling safe and expressive interaction between a robotic system and a contemporary dancer through synchronized motion, lighting and audiovisual content.

System

A KUKA KR20 robot was programmed for choreographed human–robot interaction, integrating auditorium lighting, moving heads, music and visual media within a unified timeline-based control architecture. A robot-mounted light source was incorporated as an active element of the performance language.

Execution

Robotic motion, lighting, audio and screen content were synchronized through a shared timeline, ensuring precise coordination between performer and machine. Choreography was developed by Jaime Pablo, while creative direction and visual content were produced by Avestudio. Our contribution focused on robotic programming, lighting control and overall system integration.
