Integration of an AMR platform within a coordinated plant-wide robotic workflow for an existing production environment. Built to establish a fully automated material flow, it includes:

  • KUKA autonomous mobile robot integrated into plant logistics
  • Coordination with robotic picking systems and production machinery
  • Connection to WMS for task orchestration and material tracking

The system was designed as an integration layer across subsystems, ensuring communication between mobile robotics, automation, and software. Synchronization between logistics operations and production enables reliable, continuous material flow across the facility.

Challenges included integration with heterogeneous plant systems, interoperability between AMR, robotic cells, and production equipment, dependence on WMS-driven task allocation, and ensuring stable autonomous operation without human intervention.

The result is an integrated autonomous logistics system, enabling coordinated material transport across the plant and interaction between mobile robotics and production infrastructure.
