Robotics / Multi-tile palletising

End-of-line robotic system with real-time decision-making and dynamic pallet optimization for PANIAGUA. Built to integrate production from two independent multi-product lines into a single coordinated solution, it includes:

  • KUKA industrial robot for palletizing operations
  • Distributed control architecture based on Beckhoff
  • Intelligent decision layer for pallet configuration and process optimization

The system operates under variable production conditions, dynamically adapting to product type, sequence, and flow. A dedicated decision layer computes pallet configuration in real time, enabling the robot to execute optimized stacking patterns without predefined layouts.

Challenges included two independent multi-product lines, high variability in formats and sequences, real-time decisions and coordination of production flow and robotic execution.

The result is a flexible and adaptive palletizing system capable of optimizing each pallet in real time, ensuring efficient operation across varying production conditions and improving line performance.
